Doug Alan Music

Doug has loved entertaining music audiences since he was a little boy. Since his first concert in the first grade, when his grandmother nicknamed him "my little Mozart", Doug has been entertaining people of all generation.

Doug loves to sing anything melodic. He sings country, folk, early Americana, patriotic and classical. His first instrument was piano and then guitar. He can play nearly any music genre on the piano. On the guitar, he plays folk and country.

Back in the 1980's, Doug started performing country music in restaurants and bars in Washington, DC. His country music partner of the time, Debbie Crouse, inspired him to write his first country songs. "Big Sky Country" on his SUN, SURF AND SAND album is one of these originals.

So far, Doug has composed all the country songs that he has recorded. He discovered just in 2004 that he had many country music ideas that he wanted to share and that seemed to spin from his pen.

Doug has had the good fortune to work in the Caribbean. The beach tunes of SUN, SURF, AND SAND are a natural evolution of his experiences. There will be more to come!
